Games VRBO plays, part II

Due to Hurricane Helene, we had to unilaterally cancel a number of guest bookings in Cocke County, TN.  While no properties actually flooded, the entire area was a disaster - roads destroyed, rescues, loss of power, and loss of safe drinking water than lasted for two weeks.

So now, VRBO has "restricted" all of the properties that we cancelled reservations for, in order to punish us.  As usual, I talked to someone in Pakistan for over an hour with very broken English, who said "I apologize" and "unfortunately" about three dozen times.  Later, I received an email from VRBO stating that they could not lift the restrictions if we could not prove a disaster and that the cabins had actually flooded.

These folks are out of control.

Amazing, and yet, they willy nilly cancel reservations when there aren't disasters and then they make you jump through hoops to prove there is one!  I'm sorry this is happening to you.  I'm waiting to see if they cancel a guest checking in on 10/19 even though we have no issues on Marco Island since yesterday.  The guest has started to say she's uncertain about her stay even though I've told her we are open for business with no issues.  I hope you resolve your issue soon!
