Rental Arbitrage: Short Term Accusations/ AirBNB

Posted

Hi everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. We're currently exploring housing opportunities in Long Beach, CA, and are interested in connecting with property owners. Our focus is on providing short-term accommodations for corporate executives, business professionals, university faculty, and traveling families.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to navigate this? Specifically getting in touch with the homeowner.

Exactly what @John Underwood said. I think you meant to say acquisitions. I don't believe you were going to be accusing anyone. :)

Here are the regs in Long Beach - https://www.longbeach.gov/lbcd/enforcement/strs/

Quite a few restrictions but worth the read.

You can do what @Bruce Woodruff said. Driving for dollars as we call it. Maybe find something that looks a bit down or even empty, then start scouring the tax rolls. Might find some folks wanting to get out.
