STR Market - Lakes Region NH

Hello all - been a member here for a while, making my first post.  Looking forward to connecting with fellow investors here on BP!

Have been researching and looking for our first STR property, was previously focused on the Smokey Mtn area. But am considering shifting to the Lakes region in NH, specifically around the Lake Winnipesaukee area. Wondering if anyone has any experience, good or bad, in this market?

We live in MA and investing in this area has great appeal due to proximity and we love the area as well. The Smokey Mtn. Area had appeal due to its obvious reputation as a strong STR market and its year round success as a destination. For the right property, seems like the NH lakes region can be a strong drawer for much of the year as well: The lakes are an obvious draw for the summer, nearby ski areas and snowmobiling in the winter, foliage season in the fall.

Anyone have experience in this market?

@Kevin Barnes I formerly co-owned a vacation rental management company in the NH Lakes Region. Feel free to connect and I can help with some guidance. Definitely has peak seasons and very slow times of year.  The key is to have something unique and better amenities than the competition.  The market has become flooded in recent years and is competitive. Again, happy to help!
