STR rental tax incentive when doing STR by the rooms

Hey Folks!

Is there anything different in terms of STR tax loophole if I do STR by the rooms? I am looking at a 3/2 house which I think might work well if I rent it by the rooms. But I am not sure if there is any thing different in the way the tax law might be applied.

Appreciate any feedback.

    Hi @John Malone

    Appreciate your response. I am not house hacking...I am planning to rent all the rooms out. So instead of Airbnb'ing the entire house, I just list each rooms. In this case, is there any impact on the cost seg etc.
