STR in Monroe County PA

Hjalmar De Boer
Posted

Hello Biggerpockets!

Looking for some insight with STR in Monroe County area in Pennsylvania, I live in NYC but spend several weekends in the year in the mountains.

Looking at buying a nice 3Bed cabin and wanted to see if I can offset some (or most) of the cost by renting out the property.

Any investors or realtors on here that can give me some pointers? I am reading online that it really depends on the communities or the town if STR is allowed etc.

Thank you.

Just did a loan in Tobyhanna! I remember there being an addendum in the purchase contract that allowed for the transfer of the STR permit from the seller to the buyer.
