ECI Development legal question

Greetings,

I'm a veteran overseas and 2 years ago ECI Development got into an agreement with me. The purchase price and ROI they used to get me to invest and the build has been slow due to covie and still hasn't started. Now they are saying the purchase price is $50k higher and saying the paperwork they gave me as a deposit isn't legally binding. What type of Attorney or who would I need to speak to over this as I want the property as I knew it would go up in value and now they are not wanting to pass it on to me and trying to give my money back. I know this isn't right.
