Renting out second home part time

Greg Isaacs
Posted

I have a second home in Sapphire NC that we plan to use 3 months out the year. I am looking for a vacation rental management company to do STR when we are not using the home. Does anyone have recommendations.

Why not self manage?

We have bought several properties with The Short Term Shop/Avery Carl.

They teach you how to self manage and put that revenue back in your pocket and not a PM’s.

I have thought about this and come to the truth that for my first attempt at real estate rental long distance management would not be the best option. The intent is to make a little extra money on an asset I already own. I do intend to start purchasing long term rental property on the gulf coast of Florida near my permanent residence. After I have gained experience I may try long distance management.
We own 4 properties and manage from over 14 hours away. 3 years ago I had no experience. I didn’t know anything about real estate or STR’s. Learned everything I know from The Short Term Shop. You can spend as little or less than 30 mins a week on a property with the right systems
