Review of STR Experience

Earlier this week me and my fiancé stayed in an AirBNB. It was a beautiful unit but there was an infestation of ants on the second day of our stay and the dryer didn’t work. With trying to keep an investor perspective in mind would it just be appropriate to privately message the host about the issues with our stay or to include them in a review? The concern I have about writing a review is ruining this investors credibility with getting future bookings because of these issues. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
