Need advice regarding a website - looking to work on direct book

We currently have a direct booking site sunset-mtn.com but I want to expand the site so that I can add more pictures, do some blogging, add a subscribe page etc.  

I have a very technical background but haven't had a need to do anything like this for years and am looking for recommendations on a model to use to promote interest and a website host that is cost effective and easy to use.  Technically speaking I was planning to stand up a new site and link back to the PMS direct booking page.

My basic idea is to provide reviews of local places as ideas for folks visiting the area to generate interest.  I would collect their email during bookings, using stayfi to connect to wifi etc. And then send out occasional messages linking back to the site which would host all these reviews/posts and obviously a link to book.

Love to get thoughts on this and recommendations on tools to use.
