Lakefront STR concerns

Hello everyone, I am considering buying a lakefront house with a fishing dock for STR but have some concerns about guest safety issues. Do you purchase special insurance? Are there any other potential issues I should be aware of with a lakefront house? What strategies do you use to minimize the risk? I am new to STR and would greatly appreciate it if you could provide me with some advice. Thank you.
