Automating a Smartlock on a Rental Property

Alex Smith
Posted

I was curious as to what other folks have used for a smartlock number generator for a rental property? I have been looking at Rboyapps as well as Aurmur and was going to use a Schlage smart lock. My goal is to have the tenant enter their phone number into a given field and have the last 4 digits be the code to get into the property and have that reset once the allotted rental time was up. I would also have a standardized code for cleaners, property manager, etc.

I was also curious as to what property owners had used to automatically send a communication to cleaners to come by after the renter has left the property. This would be an out-of-state property, I will be using a property manager to look over things, but I was trying to set up a proper system as this would be the first STR property.
