Best vacation rental market
Where are some of the best STR markets for a beginner? Are there still areas where the covenants are more lenient?

If you haven't done STR before then I would suggest trying to stay as local as possible, ideally something you can drive to if you need. You'll learn the ropes in your local market, and if you decide you are comfortable going somewhere else that's more profitable you can do so! That's my take at least.
