Airbnb in San Antonio

Hello!

My fiancé and I are looking to get an Airbnb in San Antonio. Upon looking, we found a place within our budget and after analyzing, will do well. However, we are concerned with the area. The home is 13 minutes south of downtown and so far we've learned that north of San Antonio is where the development is at. We also looked at the crime rate, and most of the south side of SA is considered to be in a bad area. We don't plan on ever living there long term or renting it out long term; we want to keep it as a STR. Because this will be a STR, do poor graded schools and low development matter as much?
