Alright guys stupid question...

Is there a difference between a Vacation rental loan and a second home loan? My partner and I are trying to buy a Airbnb investment property. We also need the precious 10% Down payment. Can someone please help me figure out the best loan to use in this situation. We are trying to avoid any Hard money loan due to the high interest rates.

Thank you!

@Ty Gibson if you're looking for 10% down, to avoid mortgage fraud ask your lender how many days out of the year you have to stay in the property. As long as you pass that hurdle and the other requirements for a second home mortgage, you should be good to go.
