Hi all,
We had our first meeting on September 11th, and as first gatherings go, I'd say it was a success. We had 11 people in attendance at Salt Hill Pub with a range of experience from just beginning to think about real estate investing to very seasoned with multiple real estate businesses. We had contractors, flippers, real estate agents, property managers, and investors present and there were many informative discussion topics which included the use of 1031 exchanges, rental application policies, and creative financing. We enjoyed a variety of appetizers and are all looking forward to the next meeting which will be October 10th at 6:30, where we plan on inviting a speaker to address the range of financing options for investors at any level. Location TBA.
On an side note, I did hear from a couple of people that they thought they actually needed to invest money in this group. That is NOT the case at all. This is an educational and networking forum, and a place for people to get to know others who have the same interest in furthering their real estate investment portfolios.
