Hi All,

Join us for the first meetup for the year! We'll talk about some of the local and out of area deals that people have been doing. I have some new adventures of my own to share. @Helen Chau & @Troy Fisher  and I try to make this meetup come together quarterly. The last event had 16 people and we wandered through topics from creative financing options, scaling your portfolio, out of state deals, using wholesalers to our personal halloween investing "horror stories".

Remember, Friday evening traffic can get a touch thick so give yourself some time. I'll hang there till it ends (about 10-11pm depending on how conversation flows).

 I would be honored to stay in your home! Especially by the beach ;)  Thanks Shane. Mark me down. Looking forward to seeing everyone further down the coast, and I have a couple recent deals to share and some things I'm working on now if anyone's interested in hearing about them..

An update..
Bought West Oakland duplex from wholesaler in August with a new partner from BP (formerly borrowed money from her). Built a wall to divide units & started Airbnb in Aug/September (killin it). Tried to buy a lot in E Oakland in Oct - currently stalled deal. Might never pan out. Threw the big Summit in Nov at SFSU - kicked ***! Signed another master lease/sublease deal a couple days ago with a different partner I'm already working with. Taking a peek at some sub-$100K condos in the Bay Area right now, and a $1.7MM former mansion turned multifamily not too far from Lake Merritt in Oakland, which is blowing up... Also had a tenant file a complaint with the city against me (unwarranted), one vacancy pop up, and 2 water leaks.. but between 15 units, during some transition time, not too bad all things considered ;)

Happy to kick around these topics or whatever else others have on their plate while we're down there.. Looking forward to learning more from other investors I don't get to see too often, and about your last deal Shane, and whatever else you're working on. Let me know if you want to meet up early (depending on how long you can put up with me since I'm crashing at your place)... I plan on being down there earlier in the day. Would be nice to catch up a bit individually..
