Real Estate Networking Picnic at Lake Merritt this Saturday, 9/20, 11AM-3PM. Free. Bring your own whatever you would like :)  Please RSVP here if you would like to come.

It should be mid-70's, so let's take a break from the on-site meetups and restaurants, and take it outside! We'll be having a RE Networking Meetup outdoors at beautiful Lake Merritt, to make some new connections, talk RE, and learn more, without missing out on the beautiful weekend. I would also like to welcome any attendees to bring their families out to enjoy the sunshine. It's a quick trip for anyone in Oakland, San Francisco, or Berkeley. Not too far from the Peninsula, East Bay locales, or even the North Bay. Close to Lake Merritt BART. Bring your favorite beverage (alcohol OK), some food, and a blanket or chair of your choice. (Business cards are nice too.)

Elizabeth C., BP member and landlording wizard will be up from the valley to join us, and hope to see many of the regulars, and meet some new folks out there. For those of you who haven't come before, it's a great opportunity to meet others investing in all sorts of markets and properties, make new contacts for future business, and share your ideas and experiences with other like-minded folks! PARKING
I recommend that you park in the parking lot for the Kaiser Convention Center at 10 10th St, Oakland, which is accessible on 10th St. Walk across Lake Merritt Blvd towards the lake, and you will see several concentric semi-circle concrete benches built into the grass hillside, facing the lake. That's where we will be! It's the very south side of the lake.

Wooo, what a long day!  I was not expecting to be in Oakland for almost 10 hours talking about Real Estate with this group of people!  @Elizabeth Colegrove -- I like your brusque style.  But then you wrap it up with the nice training landlording! Maybe I'll take your ideas and send them to my PM and get her on the same page!

@Mel Selvidge  -- Vacation Rentals!  Ooof.  They are outside of what I am looking at doing right now, but you guys definitely seem to know what you are doing.  I also loved the story about the "Purple Palace" and "Eddie"!  I saw him looking like 'Meatloaf' from Rocky Horror.

@David C. -- I'm sponge to your knowledge.  Thanks for all the insight yesterday.  I look forward to doing more with you, and sitting down with you again.
