How to be safe when working on investments

I just became a DIY handyman, after another failed relationship with my contractor. My question for all the Do-it-yourselfers out there, how do you protect yourself when working on your investments in low income areas? Do you work early, use a dog as protection, carry a gun or something else? Thanks for the community!

Good question. I carry a gun and train in Krav Maga. You should also pay attention to your surroundings and profile everyone. Walk around like you're tougher than you really are. You don't have to act like a D-bag and wear Tapout shirts, just don't act wimpy. Keep the doors locked. When you're walking out to your vehicle, it's good to have a screwdriver in your hand. It makes a great weapon in a pinch. If you're talking to someone that's questionable, never keep your hands in your pockets or your arms crossed like a pretzel. Pay attention to what others are doing with their hands and what they might be reaching for.

Stay safe.
