Rental market and family court

Here’s how the tight rental market is now affecting family court. Mid May I gave one of my tenants notice to vacate July 1. She couldn’t find a place so I extended to August 1. She did leave. I get a call yesterday from her attorney asking me to come to court tomorrow because her Ex is fighting her move 20 mins away. Judge is threatening to take her daughter away because of the move. There was nothing available locally, and she stayed in the same county. Despite showing my notice, the judge does not believe her and demanded her landlord show up. So it’s either I show up voluntarily or be subpoenaed. Fun times!
