Rental Property Home Inspections

Hi Everyone,

For a home built before 1970, would you add the Sewer line camera inspection to the full house inspection prior to closing? This potential property is in OH and from the 50s. I was told that the sewer lines from the house to the street can possibly get clogged / or damaged by tree roots which is impossible to tell during a home inspection unless a sewer line camera is ran down the sewer line to detect the problem. I know this could be a big problem and very expensive to repair. Wanted to get your thoughts - would you add the additional inspection?

Thanks!

Yes, well worth the risk/benefit in my book.  A lot of good plumbers can tell by feel as well and with what they pull back if a line is intact.  But I would have it looked at as better safe then sorry.
