Good property manager in Arlington VA or Alexandria VA?

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a good property manager in Arlington/Alexandria Virginia area. A colleague has a property manger that is charging a lot of extra fees each month.  She wants a PM that will charge a flat 10% without the fees for new leases or extra fees on the cost of repairs.  Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Sounds like you are looking for Cadillac service at Toyota prices. You generally get what you pay for, especially in a service business. If you want discounted pricing in PM you aren’t likely going to find someone who has invested in the best technology, systems, and people.  As a PM Brokerage owner I can attest first hand that staff wants to earn a good wage and they want benefits. Software isn’t cheap. What’s important to focus on is what will your financial return be.  How good is the PM at screening  to get the best tenant and how good are they at retaining tenants long term. These skills will benefit you far more than a discounted fee.
