CDC Eviction Moratorium extended til 6/30/21
The CDC and Biden administration has extended the eviction moratorium until June 30, 2021. It doesn’t appear landlords will get relief until September/October 2021 (with the continuing extensions). At that point the courts will be so backed up that it will take 4 to 6 months to get your eviction HEARING in many municipalities. When the holidays arrive they will say “We don’t want mass EVICTIONS during the holidays.” And then, “We don’t want mass evictions in the extreme cold!” At this point many landlords won’t get possession of their properties back until the Spring of 2022 if you’re lucky. With many not receiving rent for TWO YEARS! Way to thin the Mom & Pop landlord herd.
