Choosing Lease Dates

I’m putting together a lease for a new tenant and trying to give myself a window of time between tenants to do some minor repairs on the property. I rent in a college town and lease dates here are usually pretty standard (Aug 1 - Jul 28). I was thinking of making my lease for (Aug 1 - Jul 25), but I’ve been wondering if this would pose a huge problem for tenants. I don’t know what they are supposed to do for 3 days, let alone 5 days when they are between leases.

How do you structure your lease dates?
