A small multi-family home without a yard

Hi, we are having a question about multi-family home. We are interested in a particular small multi-family home now. This small multi-family home meets our needs quite well, except that it doesn't have a back yard nor side yard: there is just very little space around the home. Is lacking yard a big problem for a multi-family home: for renters and for resale etc? Any input is much appreciated!
