Default Tenants and Eviction Moratorium

Many cities and counties created rental assistance programs. This is REAL money that will pay the rent for tenants that cannot pay rent due. I believe most of this money came from the CARES Act. My office has completed the paperwork for several tenants and the process has gone well. Tarrant County Rental Assistance Program is just one of many with the resources to help. renthelp.tarrantcounty.com For Dallas county https://unitedwaydallas.org/re...  For Collin county https://www.zoomgrants.com/gpr...

I know landlords all over the country have been freaking out over the CDC eviction moratorium. And for good reason. I personally believe that landlords have been unfairly targeted by the local, state and federal government. Fortunately the Dallas Fort Worth rental market has handled Covid-19 virus very well. Relatively few of our tenants have delinquent rental due to loss of income.

NARPM among other organizations have files suit to stop the moratorium. I am glad to see my dues going to a righteous cause. https://www.narpm.org/docs/leg...
