I was wondering, I’m in the process of buying my first rental. Who typically does the maintenance. Lawn, shoveling etc...?

We manage over 100 properties in NJ. We don't have the tenant cut any of them. The tenants will do a poor job and your curb appeal will suffer. You'll have grass creeping on the sidewalk, weeds in the mulch, shrubs overgrown. The in winter, if your tenant doesn't shovel and there is a slip and fall who you think is getting sued? Your tenant with no money to begin with? Pay for someone to handle it. I strongly encourage it.
