Tenant seeking rent assistance through Leaven

Lukas Schmidt
Posted

Hello everyone, this is a question regarding a situation my partner is dealing with at a property he is managing. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a question regarding a tenant needing financial assistance to pay November rent. The tenant is applying for assistance through Leaven, which requires my approval for them to be accepted.

Has anyone been in this situation or had a tenant utilizing financial assistance such as Leaven? If so, what is the best course of action?

I have 2 tenants that are struggling and have received rent assistance. I had to provide a copy of the lease and fill out a w-9. One place sent me a check for over $3000.00

Why would I not want to do to do this?  I just use my business EIN and business name. No big deal and the rent got caught up at a time I can't evict.

No brainer.
