Where to order appliances - covid appliance shortage
I usually order appliance packages from HD; mostly because it's quick and easy and they deliver. I usually get a stainless steel package of a electric glastop stove, microwave, dishwasher and side by side fridge with icemaker for about $2,200
Now I had a hard time getting a package together for under $2,800, talk about inflation. It was supposed to be delivered last Friday. HD called, literally on Friday, to tell me it is backordered and will arrive mid November!
This means I can't photoshoot the unit until then, let alone rent out! I will order another set today for the house we just started drywall, it may take that long. Where do you order appliances?

Yep. A buddy of mine moved into a new house a few months back and has been experiencing delays on everything from appliances to curtains.
He was living in the house for over a month before he got his fridge delivered, and over two months before his stove got delivered. (The fridge only got delivered so “quick” because he switched where he bought it from after the first place kept pushing back when it would actually arrive.)
Still waiting on cabinets and countertops.
From talking to him about the challenges with trying to get things during COVID and hearing about his frustrations with all the constant delays, I think the answer to your question about where to order appliances is....wherever you can. (Especially if it’s the only thing holding up you putting your place on the market.)
Good luck. Just keep calling around and hopefully you’ll find what you need in stock (or at least quicker than mid-November!)
