We cannot evict--but can we legally sell the property thereby forcing the tenants out?

@Mark K. yes, absolutely you can sell!   50% of my investor listings are properties where I negotiated to help get tenant out, during moratorium, so we could best sell the home. 25% are with tenant in place.

A sale does not automatically remove the tenant or give ability to get tenant out though. Only if the owner plans to owner occupy, or have family member occupy out of housing need, then tenant must leave and can be evicted if don't voluntarily leave. So in a way a sale can remove tenant, kind of, if correct buyer and they follow steps.
