@Orane Jacobs just ask your realtor for one. Here in Chicago area the realtor boards provide us a standard lease, and it will comply with the local laws. You can always add a little addendum to it if you want a few more things, but the reality is all the extra stuff in the leases won't hold up in court most of the time anyways in my experience. You just want a vanilla lease that outlines rent, deposit, basic terms, etc. If things go south with a tenant, you normally just want possession of the unit back so you can get it generating income again.
