Question for landlords screening tenants during COVID-19
I'm trying to find a place for 3 individuals and 2 of them are collecting unemployment but will return to work as soon as it's safe to do so (both work with youth). The one person that is employed works in healthcare so her income is stable. Scores:750, 700, 600. What's the vibe out there? Are you guys turning down applicants on unemployment? One actually makes more on unemployment than her regular job. We haven't had much luck and I totally understand the landlord's point of view but these young ladies really need a home asap (Inland Empire in California). Their current landlord lost her job so she asked for the home back. I've started looking at less desirable areas but I hate to put these young girls in a bad neighborhood. I know this sucks for all parties just want to get an idea of how landlords are dealing with potential tenants affected by this stupid pandemic. They're good kids (mid-twenties so kids to me) and although they could have stayed in their current home, they chose to move out and stay in an Air BnB to keep their relationship with their now ex-landlord. Thoughts?
Thank you in advance!
