Why Can't Court Proceed with Holdover Evictions?

Hello BP,

Just wondering why (Brooklyn, NY) housing courts are not dispensing with holdover cases.

I have holdover tenant ( case started and settled pre-covid) who was suppose to be moved out by 6/30/20 as per settlement signed by the court. I even have a "good" warrant being held by the NYC Marshall office but the New York City courts are still not allowing Marshall's or Sheriffs to serve warrants of eviction. This has nothing to do with nonpayment of rent BUT of course tenant stopped paying rent 2 months ago. I havent even filed for that because I dodnt want any delay in getting them out as quick as possible. I figure I will deal with that in small claims court.

Do any NYC landlords know if courts are allowing holdover evictionsvto go forward?
