Tree leaves falling to neighbor’s front yard

I’m a landlord who decided to trim the trees in my rental property today and the tree leaves fell into the neighbor’s front yard. This neighbor saw the leaves falling onto her front yard and threatened to sue me for leaving her a huge mess, what should I do? Thank you.

If leaves or branches fell as a result of your trimming the tree, it would be appropriate for you to clean them up.  If they fell because it is fall and leaves are falling off the tree, it is up to her.  I rake leaves up every fall and pick up small branches throughout the year that land in my yard from my neighbour's cottonwood tree.
