The Move Out/Move In Overlap

Let me first say this doesn't keep me awake at night, but...

I've got a new tenant moving in April, and they said they have to be out by Noon on Sunday, March 31st. So...they're asking for the keys on the Friday 29th...April 1st is Monday.

What is common practice for giving the keys to a new tenant? Noon on the last day of the month prior to the 1st?

Let me say that I've always given the keys as much as 2 days, say if the 1st is a Monday, I'll give them the keys on the Saturday morning before that Monday. I know I'll catch some flak for that...

How do you guys handle the overlap? You don't expect everyone moving in and out on midnight of the last day, right?

Do you charge for the individual days?
