Has anyone heard about this Bill and know how this would be legal? 15months min free rent. Literally with no help for Landlords. How are landlords in San Fransico dealing with this?

Chill man........San Francisco is it's own unique wild animal when it comes to tenant rights. It makes Berkeley seem like Alabama :-) .    The thing I have done to mitigate the nonsense of this potentially happening is I only rent to people who have Section 8 Vouchers here in Cali. I have Section 8 tenants in Alameda County and Contra Costa County....right across the bridge from San Francisco and when I hear people panicking about rent control and/or not getting rent from their tenants I sleep easy because I know my rental income is guaranteed by the government, and I don't have to worry about my tenants going on a "rent strike".  I've made sure that most of my units in Cleveland are also tenants with Section 8 Vouchers as well.
