Property Management Consultation Fee

I have a small portfolio of rental properties in Columbus, Ohio.  I am looking to expand my portfolio in the near future, and will likely get to the point where it makes more sense to hire someone else to do the property management.  The units I currently own have little vacancy and the tenants have been trained to pay on time, and I have a good system set up with handymen, HVAC people, etc.  As such, managing the properties currently does not really take that much time.

That will likely change in the next year as I expand.  Right now, I would really love to take advantage of the expertise a great property manager might have as far as what items to update in a rental I currently own, what a real market rate rent is for a property that is even more dependable than what I can determine with Rentometer, and a general take on how good an area might be as far as property management is concerned.

In the time period between when I need a property manager, is it possible to pay a property manager a consulting fee $50/hr, $100/hr, $150/hr, for this sort of advice?
