Jacking up Foundation

I have a three family rental unit with one unit per floor. The ground floor apartment's floor is warped and uneven due to the main support beam not having enough support columns.

What is the best and most cost effective way to add support to and lift up the main support beam?

In another unit of mine, I had guys lay two concrete pads and then jack it up with 30-ton jacks and eventually add a board between the raised beam and an existing column. The concrete actually started to get pushed into the ground.

Any suggestions?

Also if you are in central MA, know someone who can do the job?

Thanks,
Dan
