Can i terminate the tenant lease extension as a landlord
I am a landlord and due to special circumstances need to move into the house we are renting to a tenant. Lease was recently extended. The way the original lease was setup allows the tenant to terminate the lease after the 1 year with 60 day notice. So tenant could terminate anytime during the lease extension period. However as a landlord I do not have any such language in the agreement. Any suggestions/recommendations?

I would approach my tenant and have the discussion on how you need to move back into your house. Use the same criteria that was offered to your tenant. You could try cash for keys as well. You might be stuck if they object. Talk with an attorney to review the language of your lease. Making sure you follow state and city guidelines as well. I would guess this situation is covered anywhere.
Good Luck.
