Limiting the amount of people in 1 room

Hey everyone, I was just curious how you might go about “screening” people and or denying them (before an application) if you’re trying to fill a room but only to a single person?

I have 1 room for rent in my house hacking SFH that I'm trying to rent out.. it's a 3 bedroom that I turned into a 5 bedroom but splitting up the big living room/dining room. I've had no issues with having the house filled with 1 person per room, but now I have an opening and don't want to cram too many people into the house. When I tried posting the listing on FB marketplace for 1 person, it was taken down because I was "discriminating"

Against family status.

How is this something you all have dealt with in the past? I don’t want to be held for discrimination, but I also don’t want too many people in the house, as there is only so much room in common areas. Thanks!
