Hello everyone! I hope you’re doing great! My question is about renter’s insurance.

Is it a must for you? Do you make all your residents carry it? What are some advantages and/or setbacks involved in it? Thanks everyone in advance!

@Jose A. Gonzalez we make every tenant have renters insurance prior to moving in, and we must be on the policy as additional insured or an additional interest, that way we would get notified if the tenant cancels the policy. You always want them to look at their policy first, then yours if needed. I have seen and heard it all over the last 25 years, any additional protection you can get, do it!
