Rent by room internet question/liability~how to protect the owner

Hi BP,

I am the landlord/owner of my first property that I bought last month. I have a 5 bedroom 2 bathroom house that I am renting out by room while I live there. My question is how can I protect myself from legal issues if the internet service is in my name. I trust my roommates that I have, but I want to protect myself if one of them would download illegal material/child porn/ect. I don't think getting multiple internet services/providers for each of us is an option because of having to run more wires in the house/drill more holes in the foundation. I also would like to keep the low-cost, singular, fastest internet speed we have since it works just fine for the entire house in terms of speed. I am looking for a way to some how make the tenants liable on a personal basis for any issues that could arise in the future. Do you know how people go about doing this or who I can contact?

Thank you, Brendon
