Eviction Appeal Questions

Hello all,
Tenant writes hot check, late on rent, I evict, go to court, get no money (owes $2700+ by now), tenant evicted but is appealing. Tenant keeps threatening civil suit whenever I put any notice on door citing harassment (hiding a dog-no pet deposit). Need some ideas here and thank you all in advance. Texas.

If they appealed, then I assume they appeared for the hearing at the JP. If they lost, now are appealing, they would most likely have to pay a bond to appeal. In the old days the loser tenants called this a "paupers lien" which means a dirt bag playing the system.
Once they appeal, you would need to appear at the appellate court, unless you have an attorney to do this for you.
I never have to evict, BUT....I have always had good luck with Fred Willis @ Metroplex Evictions.
