NY landlords - call your legislators now
Here is the bill that I posted about a few days ago. It is gaining traction.

Sadly, although it absolves the landlord of a portion of the mortgage payment, it does nothing for the other expenses a landlord must be financially responsible for. Here in New York State, my TAXES are my biggest recurring expense in my rental properties. The mortgage is less than half the fixed expenses. So, I still need to pay the property and school taxes, water and sewer bill, insurance, and repairs and maintenance.
