Should I consider invest crash pad instead of Airbnb

I am thinking about buying a single family home and turn it into a crash pad for Allegiant airline pilots and flight attendants here in Mesa. Is this a better option than use as Airbnb? If yes how do I get the words out?

Hi Hongru, I self manage 2 Airline crash pads which are SFHs that are 5 bedrooms each. There is somewhat constant turnover but there is always interest when there is a vacancy. I run them Air Bnb style as the whole house is fully furnished and I take care of all the expenses. Both houses have a net ROI of 12%.

As far as Allegiant crews in Mesa, you’ll have to do some ground work and find out what the demand for a crash pad there would be. A big determining factor is whether Mesa is a Crew domicile or not. If it is, there will be plenty of crew members that will be interested in staying a night or two between their next trip as it will be more economical than paying for a hotel. There will be also demand for reserve crews that are on standby to go fly a trip and need a place to stay for an unknown period of time. As far as getting the word out, Airline operations typically have message boards in their offices to post for crash pad openings and possibly online. Since, you have friends that in the airlines maybe they could point you in the right direction and spread the word for you. Good luck!
