Getting Started - The First Move

I curretnly live in Brooklyn, NY with $10k of savings. I would like to move to Atlanta to start my investment process in the year of 2020 when I have $15k saved up. I have family that lives in Georgia, BUT .. i don’t know if I should move in with one of them first to figure out the market & build relationships with Realtors, OR, should I jump right in .. meaning should I just buy my first property and move in straight from Brooklyn.

House hacking would definitely be the move here. You can actually do 3.5% or 3% when you owner occupy. If you can move in with family in the meantime while looking that would 100% be the move I would make if you are very serious.
