Multi Unit Lease Length Staggering

Zee Ayezain
Posted

Hi all,

First time poster, I recently purchased a 3 unit multi family property. One of the units is now occupied with a lease ending in Jan 31st 2021. The 2 remaining units are on the market now, what should I structure their lease term length for? Does it make sens to stagger them so that I don't potentially have all units back on the market at the same time? Should I time them for better rental months? What are the best months?

I already know that the current occupied unit renters will be vacating when their lease is over, So I know come Jan 2021 ill have to turn one unit.

Thanks for your advice.
