Inter-tenant dispute regarding cleanliness

Scott Rodriguez
Posted

Three separate men rent an upstairs at own of my properties. They say one doesn’t clean at all it’s dirty over there. Do I just let them settle or where do I start?

@Scott Rodriguez, are you renting by the room or are these just roommates?

If they are roommates on a lease together I wouldn't get involved at this point.

If you are renting to each separately by the room, perhaps you should have some house rules in the lease. If you do, just talk to the offending tenant and if necessary issue a lease violation. If he doesn't clean up his act (literally), just move to evict him next.
