Is Shakopee, MN a good place to invest in real estate?

Posted

My question is more directly related to quality of tenants, job market outlook, appreciation, etc.

I recently inherited a duplex in Shakopee MN and have it rented. Specifically near the downtown area so older house.

I'm wondering if its a good idea to keep it or sell. I know that Location, Location, Location. So i'm curious if anyone has any insight on future outlooks of the city/area. Do you think the city will decline or prosper?

@Dominick Marschall Shakopee is a suburban city located south west of Minneapolis. I do work with some investors looking in the area. You'd see decent rents but slightly higher vacancy than Minneapolis with there just being slightly less demand for rentals out there. It's a popular place for families to live, the two investors I work with live out there with their families and do well enough to live anywhere they'd like.
