Former tenant who owes me money trying to have me served.

Former tenant moved out after 9 months without contractually agreed upon proper notice, after pretty well trashing a brand new property.

She owes me a few hundred dollars in damages on top of her deposit but I decided not to bother chasing it since (of course) no forwarding address.

Now she is trying to have me served (she sent the sheriff to my mother's house, lovely right?) but does not have my personal address. I assume this is because she thinks she can somehow get her deposit back, which is indeed laughable.

My question is, should I worry? As long as she cant serve me, do I need to do anything?

TIA!

Replied
I'd take this opportunity to have a day in court after she has paid all the filing fees.
Bring all the receipts and pictures of what she owes you.
