Landlord receiving letters
Hello All,
I rent a townhouse in western Maryland. About 3 weeks ago my landlord recieved a UPS letter. I sent the letter to his home address not thinking much of it. Yesterday, the postman delievered two certified letters, one for him and another for his wife, who is also listed as an owner of the property. They were from Chase Bank. We had a RE agent come through about twice to take pictures of the place a few months back. We were told that this was a requirement by their mortgage company.
I didn't buy this and started digging to see if they were attempting to sell the place, which I found nothing. I called the County Recorder yesterday and asked if there were any notices of default filed which the rep told me there wasn't. I am wondering if there is any other avenues I can take to see if my landlord is behind on his mortgage or potentially facing foreclosure.
